Whilst most initial surveys are undertaken using a range of electrical moisture meters we also undertake:

ERH (equilibrium relative humidity) surveys to quantify moisture content in floor slabs.

Speedy meter surveys to determine actual moisture content of a wall the process of which involves putting a weighed sample into a pressure vessel and adding calcium carbide which reacts with the free moisture in the sample to produce acetylene gas which is proportional to the amount of moisture.  

Thermal imaging surveys to check for or pinpoint hot water leaks in solid floors.

Data logger surveys for long term monitoring of temperature, humidity and dew point (the temperature at which water vapour in the air condenses).
